Hi Everyone! This home caught my eye as I was flipping through Departures Magazine this month. A home whose interior is designed by Jonathan Adler, for Barbie! This dream home is overlooking the Pacific. He took this 3500 square foot private Malibu home and transformed it into a Celebration for Barbie's 50th anniversary. He not only designed some one-of-a-kind pieces but took furniture from his own collection. This home is for us all who are young at heart...Pink loving girls...who LOVE Barbie.

Andy Warhol's Barbie portrait hangs in the living room. Look at the one-of-a-kind corset-back chairs. So adorable!!!

In June Johnathan Alder debuts Mattels "Generation of Dreams" Barbie doll in fabric like these chairs. So sweet!

I Love this!!! When I first saw this sunburst mirror I thought of Vicki (from French Essence) on the hunt for a gilded gold mirror in France. How would this one work for you Vicki? hehe

A little vanity is in the truck for Barbie to pretty herself up and no doubt to apply a bit of lipstick before heading to the mall.

What a lovely home for any Barbie lover! I have read that Johnathan ripped off the head of his sister's Barbie dolls when he was six and this project took on a deep personal meaning. "It was my way of making amends, " he says.

~Princess Wall Hangings~

Hi Everyone! This is my latest hand-painted wall hanging inspired by the Marie Antoinette with my whimsical interpretation of Versailles. Marie Antoinettes favourite colour was bleu which is captured in the Chateau, flowers and the small little details throughout. This wall hanging is simply titled ~Il etait une fois, bleu~ (Once upon a time...)

Sweet Thunder - Everybody's Singin' Love Songs

The spring is here and Sweet Thunder's 1978 classic Everybody's Singin' Love Songs is a perfect soundtrack for a day like this. A great soulful disco tune from Philly produced by Larry James. It's a lovely foot stomping track and what's even better is that the 12" is fairly cheap and easy to obtain.

Little Beaver - Party Down

Little Beaver is best known as a guitarist on many great releases by TK Records but his solo material deserves some attention as well. I've always digged When Was The Last Time but lately I've been listening to Party Down a lot. It's an album full of great jazzy soulful tunes. Little Beaver's guitar creates an amazing groove that takes you through the whole album. The back up artists on the album are really strong as well, the best of the Miami soul scene.

Hi Everyone! After running around yesterday with Fifi from Fifi Flowers I am quite exhausted and a stay at this LOVELY HOTEL is a nice place to relax for the day. The HOTEL-28 à Aix is situated in Aix-en-Provence in the Mazarin area and their site says it is two steps away from Cours Mirabeau, La Place des Quatre Dauphins and the Granet Museum. I found this lovely hotel via Departures Magazine earlier this year and was mystified by their courtyard images.

After seeing their website I saw an image of the boutique which reminded me of the Beauty Salon, Anna (from Villa Anna) that her and her daughter had a Mommy Daughter day last year.

Such a BEAUTY...can you image staying in one of these bedrooms?

Bonjour Everyone! I am virtually here in Provence & guest blogging for Fifi!!!

Fshhhh...I am here!!! "VIRTUALLY" in Lovely France! I have been here for the last week. I was so busy running around to different galleries, taking in all the beautiful cafes and finalizing a "TOP SECRET" rendezvous. Although I had ONE major glitch!!! Computer problems! Need I say anymore. NO? Ok! So I hope everyone has been patient and waiting with anticipation to see what I have been up to. I am heading via Train to Provence to see my friend Fifi. Seriously! Last night it only took 3 1/2 HOURS to upload these 3 images. Seriously? Normally I would never EVER go off on this little tirade, but seriously!!! On another GOOD note, I am so glad to say I am leaving VIRTUALLY tomorrow morning for Paris! Yeah. I have a few things to do next week. The first is I am off to a chateau on the hunt for a missing item. Hmmmm...any guesses???
