Don't ever..ever...

..think that fuzzy, old faded photograph that no one remembers being taken is not going to be loved, cherished and mooned over by the people left behind one day..

'cos it will be.

Kathy found this photo, taken in about 1953-54 at our Aunt Alice's home.    That's Uncle Joe on the left..Aunt Alice's empty chair {was she taking the photo?} on the right ...and my Mother. ... looking young..looking pretty and thin...and with her hair in a headband..we girls don't ever remember Mother wearing her dark hair that way..

Her pretty printed dress..and Daddy, looking handsome and smug..

{Aunt Alice never did like Daddy too much..so it's probably pretty certain Uncle Joe might not have as well..and for them to be sharing a meal..well..it was either a victory for Daddy or a defeat for Aunt Alice!}

Bring on the smug-ness...

Larry & Kathy looking like the gangly- pre-teens they were ..Gerri looking as independent and determined as she still is..

..and me..peeking around from in between Mother & Daddy..all giggles and grins..

Kathy didn't remember having this photo..nor ever having seen it anywhere before..until she stumbled upon it in an old box...

So take care of those photos..those "less than perfect" photos we think no one would want..one day..someday..someone might just cherish seeing her Daddy and Mother all young and happy..

Seeing her big sisters little and sassy...

Seeing the inquisitive little girl that once she was...

And seeing her big brother..young and alive and suave..and dorky and goofy all at the same time...

Thanks, Kathy ;-D
